settlement charges vs closing costs HELP
Im waiting to hear back from mortgage lady and stressing right now. She told me closing costs would be around $10,000 and I see that in our paperwork then I see settlement charges $14,000
Is the $14,000 what we need at closing ???
What is the difference between closing costs and settlement costs ??

What is the difference between closing costs and settlement costs ??
Same thing happened to us when we reinfanced. Closing costs were supposed to be around $8k but got bumped up $4k because we had school taxes coming up due. If there are any taxes due within 3 months of closing, they are due at time of closing.
