Sesame Question - Dry rides or water rides first?

We've only done SP in the fall or spring, we get there when it opens, ride the rides, eat lunch, see a show and head home. Now we're going in the summer....wondering what is the best way to tackle the park ... I'd love to do the opposite of what the crowds do (if most people do wet rides first, do dry then switch). Going on a Tuesday so hopefully it won't be TOO crowded but it would be nice to just walk on to rides as much as possible Chat Icon

Sesame Question - Dry rides or water rides first?

We just went this weekend. We did breakfast with Elmo which got us into the park about 15-20 mins before it opened and they have about 6 dry rides that they open. We ran and did a few dry rides first and didn't have to wait on a line at all. Then we walked around for a bit, saw one of the shows, and then changed into bathing suits and hit up the water park.

A lot of people walk into the park in bathing suits so we did dry rides first.

We always do dry first to get a bunch in before it gets busy. When we can't stand heat and lines anymore we do the splash castle to cool down and then after lunch we'll do wet rides and whatever else we can squeeze in.

Interesting... I also hear that there are tons of camps that invade mid-day which worries me a bit... lots of semi-supervised kids doesn't sound like much fun, wondering how that changes the flow of the crowds?

We have season passes, so we have done it both ways.. Honestly.. the same wait times regardless... The rides seem to be quieter like an hour before closing .. We try and do the wet rides as soon as we get there so we can change and dry off for the rest of the day and ride home
