Sesame Place
I have never been there before. I'm going for 1 day in June on a weekend. I know it will be very, very crowded. Any advice for getting through it all in just 1 day? Which shows are good, which should be avoided? How do I handle the wet rides in conjunction with everything else. I don't really feel like walking around the park and going on regular rides wet- so how and when do you recommend the splashing stuff?

We went this weekend and it was crowded. Last year we did the character breakfast which gets you into the park early and that really helped. This time we were parked at 930 since they open at ten but we had to stop at customer service so by the time we got in it was already almost 11. We do dry rides first until we can't take the heat anymore, then do the splash areas and wet rides, we bring a picnic lunch and do a nap outside the gates, then more wet rides. Clean up and change and line up for the 7pm parade around 6. After the parade we squeezed in a few more dry rides before closing time. Dd had a blast despite the crowds and waits.

Re: Sesame Place
It is pretty insane on the weekend, There is a changing room/showers in the bathroom by the Counts Splash Castle. We usually do water rides first and change into dry clothes and leave the wet stuff in the lockers.. The Elmo the musical is air conditioned.. thats always a nice break from the heat..

We have season tickets and go often. We have never gone for more than one day. We usually start off the day with the dry rides. Then we do the Elmo lunch which I think is a must do. you get to meet a lot of the characters without the lines. My son also has a blast dancing with all the characters at the lunch. Then we change into bathing suits and do the wet rides and pools. This way we are doing the wet stuff at the hottest portion of the day. We enjoy all of the shows but don't go to all of them each time.

There's a pass you can buy to bypass the lines. We never go on weekends, but I've heard it gets very crowded.

We just went last week. Elmo the musical was great my son loved it. The dining with the characters was also great and the food was pretty good. Avoid Elmo's eatery at all costs it was horrible. The elmo rocks show was also good, they shot out streamers and the kids went nuts for them. They also had dada participate which was cute. They line up early for the parade so if you want a good spot keep that in mind (my weirdo son hated the parade. Sat there with a puss on his face until they shot out streamers again lol).
It was too chilly for us to do the water rides but my son loved watching the counts castle with the big water bucket!
