We just went last week, and IMO one day is plenty, but when it's really hot like this, you may want to spend two days beacuse of all the water rides if you are into them.

You can certainly do it in one night, but I've gone for the last 3 summers (and I'm going again in August) and we always stay overnight. That way, you don't have the pressure of trying to do everything in one day, and you can relax at the pools in between activities. Also, you can dedicate more time one of the days to rides, and one day to the shows. Have fun!
