Serious question about a stupid topic
ok, so we have a leaf problem.
we have TONS of leaves on our lawn.
we rake/vacuum them up and deposit them in a Home Depot lawn bag.
We now have 9 30-gallon bags filled and counting.
WHAT DO I DO WITH THESE BAGS?
is there I place I can take the leaves? are they just "garbage"?
I have no idea. I am so clueless about this stuff.
TIA.

Re: Serious question about a stupid topic
Does your municipality have scheduled pick up for lawn/tree refuse?
I know mine does so we put them at the curb and they picked up on that day. If yours doesn't, there is probably some place you can take them. Ask a neighbor if they have the refuse calendar - it usually has all that info.

It's garbage - As long as the bags don't weigh 100 lbs each, they should take for your w/o a problem.
Just call and find out if there's a designated day for lawn wate pickup -

Re: Serious question about a stupid topic
It should be separate from private sanitation. We have private sanitation where I live, but the town has a schedule for leaf pick up during the fall months. If you town has a website, they might have that information there, otherwise you could call.

Most town's have a magnet or paper that they send to new homeowner's with the full schedule for garbage, paper recycle, plastic recycle, etc. See if your town has one to keep in your home for reference.
Also, you may want to invest in a leaf blower/sucker - it makes raking less bothersome to your back. And the sucker portion can lift the leaves and place them in the bag for you.

Re: Serious question about a stupid topic
You can also use the mulcher on your mower and just leave it on your lawn. We did this last year.
