Sensitive Skin

I just realized that dh has very sensitive skin and mine isnt that great either Everything he uses needs to be free and clear. I dont need to but I use it anyway just to avoid buying more than one product.

I know I saw a thread in the past about baby prodcuts that are great for sentive skin but the search function on here is not the best. Shame on me for not putting it in my notebook.

Anywho which products should I be looking at?

Sensitive Skin

We use All Free & Clear for all our laundry. All the "baby" detergents have fragrance in them, which is not sensitive-skin friendly.

DD has terrible skin. We've been to a pediatric dermatologist several times since birth (she's almost 18 m now). We use cetaphil bath products for her and cetaphil or cerave lotions and creams on her body. They're not "baby-specific" like other brands, but they are 100% safe for babies. We had started with aveeno products because I've personally had success with them in the past, but found that they did nothing to help her and may have been irritating her. (I still use aveeno baby shampoo on her, but that's all.)

A&D ointment is nothing but vitamin a & vitamin d, so that's very safe too, even for sensitive skin. Aquafor also has very little added. We have trouble with most diaper rash cream because many have aloe in them (I'm allergic to aloe; the ped derm says DD is too young to be -- it usually starts being an allergy around 12 y/o if you are allergic). We used A&D ointment instead of diaper rash cream. Unless it got really bad, then I usually use butt paste until the redness goes away. Never desitin. But that's just been our experience.

HTH!
