Sensitive Belly Button?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and even though my belly button is not popped out, it is just extremely sensitive when something or someone (mainly my 21 month DD sitting on my lap or climbing all over me Chat Icon ) brushes up against it.
It is driving me nuts - I am sensitive about my belly button when I am not even pregnant (I dont even like to touch it in general Chat Icon ) so now it is sending me into over drive now.
Does anyone have any solutions they can offer?
Will a band aid over it or anything help??
TIA

Re: Sensitive Belly Button?

OMG I could have written this. NO ONE is allowed to touch my belly button, ears or feet (pedicures are torture for me). My belly button is completely flat (if not almost protruduing) and sooo senstive this time. DD and I were playing on my bed last night and she kept trying to tickle my belly and I swear I almost screamed. lol. I notice if I wear full panel maternity pants it doesn't annoy me as much.

Thank you. For a minute, I thought I was alone Chat Icon
I am not in maternity pants yet but I think I am going to try a large band-aid and see if that helps. DD also has just figured out there is a baby in my belly but now she likes to lift my shirt and poke my belly button - UGH she is lucky I love her because each time she does it, I want to scream!!!!!!

I am the same way, even while not pregnant. The thought of someone touching my belly button (including me) makes me cringe. It's starting to pop and very sensitive but I'm just dealing with it. I'm afraid that the feeling of a band-aid on it all day would be uncomfortable too! Let us know what you figure out!
