Sending deli platters/fruitbaskets
I have a friend who lives in the Bronx who lost his dad yesterday. I want to send the family a deli platter vs a fruit basket, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this?
I live out here on LI and don't know their area.
Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?

What I did was a search in yellow pages of surrounding delis' etc.
Called and asked if they do platters and deliver.

It should be pretty easy if you know of a good deli/grocer in the area that will deliver.
You just need to call, specifiy what you would like sent and then you can pay by CC and they'll deliver it.
If you don't want to go that route you can also call a place like Edible Arrangements or Harry and David (or someplace like that) and they can send a basket.

Just do an online search with their address, like on yahoo they have the "local" or yellow pages section. Put in the address and search delis/restaurants, whatever you like.
