Sending a gift
A friend of ours got married in July and we couldn't make the wedding. She is having a baby in November as well. We want to send a wedding gift, but her registry seems cleared out. Would it be wrong to buy off her baby registry instead?

Re: Sending a gift
Why don't you put together a romance/new parents kind of gift basket instead. Include some nice candlestick holders, candles, maybe a nice cd as well as frames or photo albums - that they can use both for their wedding photos as well as their new family photos. I think the thought would kind of get lost if you went off their registry- though still a nice gesture.

Re: Sending a gift
I think buying off the baby registry may be confusing. They may think its a congrats on the new baby, not the wedding.
ETA: why don't you just purchase a gift card for the store the registry was at, this way if they want to buy an extra pieces of china, bedding, towels, or whatever they can.

Sounds good. I think a gift card might be the way to go. Thanks
