Seeing as it's "sandal" time...

why do women refuse to buy the right size?

Am I wrong in buying shoes where my toes do not hang out of the front?

I'm an 8 1/2, but fit better in a size 9 now since I had my DD, had no clue your feet get bigger after having a baby.Chat Icon I still get the 8 1/2s.

Re: Seeing as it's "sandal" time...

well i know i for one have a hard time finding shoes that fit me well

i am somewhere between a 5 1/2 and a 6

and there arent' a lot of shoes in the 5 1/2 size...
So a few of mine end up being a little bit big or small...

I have the same problem...I love when I go in and ask for a 5 1/2 and they come out with the famous "Here, we have them in a 7". Yeah cause those will fit meChat Icon

My mom is a size 4.5!!! She has an impossible time finding shoes that fit her properly that don't kill! So I sympathize greatly with you! Chat Icon

In regards to my post...I was leaning more over to those that are size 9+ that wear size 7's...and their toes are hanging on to dear life off of a cliff...

I know what you're saying, I used to work with someone like that. I don't understand how her feet weren't killing her after an hour in shoes that were waaaaay to small.

It's hard to find shoes over size 9 as well, but I'd still try to avoid the toe overhang if possible. On a sorta related note, it it very frustratinn that anyone outside of the norm has such a limited selection.

I have the opposite porblem - short toes! well, shorter anway. so a lot of the flippies I own, there is a huge gap between where my toes end and the front of the shoes Chat Icon

Ugh - I know all about this. I wear a size 11 and it's next to impossible to find anythng relatively cute or with a low heel. I am 6 feet tall and *typically* people with big feet are on the taller side. Why oh why can't the shoe gods make decent size 11's without a 4 inch heel????? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sorry - totally went off on a tangent there... Chat Icon

I'm the same size and I now have to get the 9 too. I REFUSE to let my toes hang over the front or have the heel hang off the back.Chat Icon

On a side not, there's a show store in franklin square on hempstead turnpike that only sells larger sizes. They seem to have a big selection

I hate when they have their heels hanging over the back of the flip flops...It kills me to see people wearing shoes that just don't fit!

Aren't they uncomfortable?

Yep weve had this conversation before, you and I.

Its so hard to find wide. I am a size 8 and I have been getting some 9s. They fit in terms of wideness but my toes are like 2 inches from the front of the shoe!Chat Icon I guess you could say I have the opposite problem!
