second timers....come in
DH and I are going back for #2 and I am so super nervous. We went through PGD/IVF for DD and it seemed very trying because I had a recent loss due to genetic disorder. Now, I already have so I would think this round would be easier, so why do I feel these nerves.
We are heading back to RSofNY for a consult today with Dr. Stelling.
For those who are going/went for #2, was it "easier"? less pressure?

Re: second timers....come in
Honestly? No. I am not trying to add to your nerves but I think if you want a 2nd child as badly as you wanted the 1st, it's going to be just as trying an experience as it was the 1st time. At least for me it is.
I am in the same boat as you. I am trying for DC#2 after having my DD who just turned 18mos. We started trying on our own 2 months after she was born and was back at the RE (RSofNY also) in December '10. We did 5 injectible IUI's - all BFN and 1 IVF - also BFN. Waiting to start my 2nd IVF cycle. It's just as frustrating and upsetting this time around - except now I do have my DD's smiling face to soften the blow a bit.
Hope this process is quick and easy for you! Good luck!

Re: second timers....come in
We are currently going for number 2 and I think this time is harder because now I feel the added pressure of not letting my dd down if we can't have another one. I don't want her to be an only child so its a lot of pressure. I'm also finding it very hard devoting the time I did when I didn't have a child. Some days I have to take dd with me to the appointments and she screams when I have to get my sonos so that is definitely different than before and more difficult. I also feel bad because the meds making me moody and I don't want my bad mood to affect dd. I am praying this time won't take as long as it did with dd (7 months). I'm still on my first cycle and will have an iui sometime this week and I'm really not looking forward to the 2ww although hoping dd will keep me busy and my mind off it.
Good Luck to you!
