SeaWorld Orlando

anyone been? how is it for younger kids? I hear mixed reviews.

We loved it. We haven't been in a few years, since my older DS was 10 months. But we may go back in September and do the Seaworld/Aquatica pass. We keep going between that and Legoland.
We thought it was great for DS. He has always liked animals so he really enjoyed just seeing everything. We didn't have to deal with lines the way you would with a regular amusement park. We felt the crowds were much less overwhelming then at Disney. He enjoyed the shows, and he had never sat through anything until then.

I think it can depend on what time of year you go. We made the mistake of going in January on a cold day and a lot of the animals were not out because of the temperatures. If the weather is warm and your children like animals and shows, then I think it's great.

We just went there this past summer. We probably wouldn't do it again. The shows were timed just right that you couldn't get from one to the other in enough time. So while we saw most of the shows and didn't have to wait long, we were constantly running from show to show. There were not many rides for the little ones to go on. It was a long day for my 3.5 and 2 year old.

Our family absolutely loved it! Our almost 3yo fed the dolphins and had a spectacular experience. DS and DH enjoyed the killer whale shows.

I personally was never a fan of aquariums and such so I could have skipped it. The boys in my family had a great time though.

If it came down to Disney or Seaworld, I would probably spend more time at the Disney parks.

We went to Sea World years ago and had a great time when my son was younger. The shows were nice, and I remember the Sesame Street area being fun.

I don't think I can support them now though knowing where some of their dolphins and Orcas come from, and how some of them are treated.
