SEAFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT SUED
Seaford school sued over treatment of special education student
Play the video (08/11/06) SEAFORD - The parents of a special education student in Seaford are suing the school district over what they call discipline gone bad.
The family's attorney, Ken Mollins, says 9-year-old Matthew Grogan told his parents a behavioral therapist at Seaford Harbor Elementary School put him in a closet more than three times and left the room. While the school admits the boy was put in the closet, officials say it only happened three times and someone was in the room. The parents decided to sue after learning the therapist was asked back for the fall.
The school's principal would not comment on the matter because of the pending litigation.

As both a parent and a teacher I cannot even begin to express my RAGE at this one. If is ILLEGAL and considered Corporal Punishment to make a child stand in the corner how is this not????
This is sooooooooooooooo disgusting I can't even say!

I heard about this on channel 12 news about month ago and I was completely outraged I always thought seaford sd was good but how can you do that to a child just gross
