Screaming
My DD screams all the time. If something is upsetting her, someone is bothering her, she needs help - whatever it is, her first reaction is to Scream. It's driving me nuts and it makes going out in public very unpleasant sometimes.
I had been doing time outs for her for biting and hitting and that has gotten a lot better. So, I started using time outs for screaming recently. (In addition to reminding her to use her nice words).
I am hoping the time outs and reminders will help. I am just starting to get nervous since she will be going to nursery school a couple days a week in September and I don't want her acting like this!
Any advice?

Re: Screaming
how old?
DD is 2.5 and still screams and now it's even a higher more annoying pitch. She talked a little late and I think that just her first reaction instead of telling me. OMG so annoying. I try to ignore but when you are strapped in the car with her screaming theres not much you can do. I just yell at her and that doesn't work haha. It makes it worse. It's a vicious cycle.
When I can I do do time outs. I try to distract her.
She did just start school this week 2 days a week and so far so good. She's been good there the past 2 days.
