It says mine is expected around 12/15. We are Town of Smithtown.
My friend in valley stream got hers 2 weeks ago.

school tax rebate
Mine says this: We began mailing STAR credit checks for your area on 10/18/2017. We will continue to mail checks and letters about eligibility throughout the upcoming weeks.
I wonder when we're supposed to get ours then?

star check is different than the rebate check. People who bought their house after a certain date I think in 2016 now get a star check rather than the star saving off their bill.
ETA: I am not sure if the original topic is talking about the STAR or the rebate check you will get back if the you school stood under a certain tax percentage.

The site says that rebates for my SD started getting mailed on 10/18. I haven't gotten mine yet.

yeah i just get a regular star reduction because i bought before that switch happened. I'm pretty sure that website is for the rebate check, though.

What site are people using the site posted above is about the STAR check rebate which is not the rebate you get back if your school stood under the tax cap.
