School Picture Vent
I just have to vent about the prices and procedure for school pictures...
Nothing under $40 and I don't even get a proof. I just have to buy whichever picture they pick.
Plus I found out Damien's class goes after lunch/recess. First graders!!! They will be little sweaty, dirty messes!! Ugh!!

That is crazy - how do they not let you see the pictures?
I remember last year my nephews had the same issue - pictures were taken after lunch and they actually were a mess from lunch - no one cleaned them up.

I just bought the smallest package that they have...
a 3x5 and the class picture...$19!!!!
At least it's better than it used to be. You'd get their pic and their eyes would be closed...now at least they make sure they are looking and some what smiling....

I hear you! This is the first time that my kids have had pictures and I needed to PAY for them even before they took them!!! I have no idea what they are going to look like in the pics and I am stuck with them no matter what! It was $53 for the cheapest "family" package since I need to get pictures to the grandparents, godparents, etc..... That times 2 for 2 kids!

Yep...
I used to be able to get the 3rd child free too...That didnt appear to be an option this year...
On a side note...a lot of schools do Spring Photos too. They take the pics and you get to proof them before you purchase them. They are usually better than the fall photos...

They did ours too...But there wasnt an option for it on the form....I paid for the 3 of them. Im going to call them next week and see if I can get a credit or something...cant hurt to ask right?

I'm *pretty* sure if you don't like the pictures you can send them back and they'll reshoot.
I was mad about the prices too! I really wanted an 8x10 so I ended up spending $35

You can do a retake but to be honest, I stopped buying the pictures altogether. I'd rather spend the money getting them taken some place where I can pick the ones I like. target has pretty good coupons & they gave me a LOT of poses to pick from. I'd rather have them dresses nicely, etc. My teens never look at the class picture from grammar school anyway so why bother?
