Schmidt's Farm in Melville
I've never been, but heard good things.
Is it a hay ride to the pumpkin patch or should we bring a wagon?
Anything else to know about them? Do they sell refreshments?

There is a hayride, but you can also bring a wagon - we did.
They sell food and they have a play area for the kids.
It's going to be very muddy, so wear rain boots!!

We went last year and there was a hayride that took you to the other side where the pumpkins are as well the corn maze. We did the corn maze after a weekend when it had rained and it was AWFUL (for me)!!! There was so much mud to contend with that it didnt make for an enjoyable maze experience....all because I wore sneakers. So..if you are going to go this week...and want to do the corn maze...wear a pair of boots.
They also had tons of other things to buy (vegetables as well as jams and pies etc...) and SOOOO much for DD1 to do. Pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses, bounce slides, giant hay stack for them to climb...
We are planning on going back on the 17th....
