Scary night
I have been spotting since the beginning of my pregnancy. I've seen the heartbeat but the spotting is scary. Well last night the spotting was heAvier and I passed a clot. I called the emergency line at my ob and he told me to go to lij er. After a long wait they finally did an us and thank god there was a hb. BPM was 178 and Baby is measuring 8 weeks 4 days. According to edd from my ob I thought I was 7w5days.
I just hope the bleeding stops. They said there was no blood near the sac or in the uterus. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: Scary night
This has been both of my pregnancies that have lasted. I bleed the entire first trimester and it is unexplained. Hopefully your bleeding will also stop in the second trimester. It is very scary to see bright red blood and clots! I had 3 miscarriages and I did not bleed with any of them, so now I take the blood as a good sign.

Good to hear baby is ok!
My BFF had a hematoma (I'm blanking on the exact term right now sorry) and she bled her entire pregnancy. Like a period bleeding. It was very stressful, but her baby was ok and is now 2 years old!
Subchorionic Hematoma is the term. Just remembered.

Re: Scary night
Thanks girls! They didn't mention anything about a Hematoma or the placenta. I wish I got an answer why this is happening

Re: Scary night
YES!! i had that same thing. I have been going for sonos since 6 weeks. At one point i was going every other day. Recently had it this past weekend- was in for another sono- beautful heartbeat, baby growing, no blood near placent, placenta fundal and posterior, cervix closed, no vaginal tears, no friable cervix- a colleage of mine said it may be due to stretching..freaks me out every time.
I wish you the best.. and if you need to vent, feel free to contact me.

Re: Scary night
I had that happen early on. Scared the crap out of me. I wound up having low progesterone and later found out I had a Placenta Previa, which eventually moved up at 24 weeks. The doctors always said the blood was not coming from near the baby, so that made me feel better.
