Scare!

I am on bed rest for the rest of this week. I woke up in the night with severe cramping. No bleeding though...........I called my doctor this morning and she asked me to come in as a precaution. She did a sonogram and fortunately everything looks great with the baby. She is not sure why I was cramping though so she asked me to take the rest of the week off and just lounge and drink lots and lots of water. She also told me that I really need to "watch it" with work and try to let things go as much as I can with that and put myself first more. My co-workers and one of my bosses who I told today said the same thing. They drew yet more blood and I have to go back first thing Monday morning. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I know one of my co-workers said this is "normal" and probably nothing to worry about. I'm still nervous as hell though...........

Re: Scare!

How far along are you? I had one night of really bad cramping very early on and was totally freaked out. Your body is going through a lot of changes and things are moving and stretching at all times. Try not to be too worried! You did the right thing by calling you dr!

This is the confusing piece.........I went for my first appt/ sono on 5/17. At that time, the doctor estimated I was about 7 weeks. So I am thinking I am around 10 weeks along by now......she told me today she only thinks I am about 8 1/2 weeks along. How do they figure out exactly? (or do they!) I feel dumb and clueless with this stuff.

Sometimes I think it's better that way though.......just having access to a lot of info is what freaks me out!
