this is what i was going to say and also....use sunscreen iif it is an area that will show.....if it is a big scar, massage the area to minimize scar tissue

i agree with maderma. my dh has used it and after a period time there was definitely a difference in the appearance of the scar. if you put too much it gets filmy and peels. he said it was itchy. definitely use sunscreen with it.
