sausage?
Hi Ladies,
I know we aren't supposed to eat cold cuts, hot dogs, etc. And I know there was talk of limiting bacon, too, recently on these boards.
Does anyone know about sausage - like from the italian store? I am so in the mood for sausage and peppers, but would rather not eat it if we're not supposed to...

I get fresh sausage from the butcher, so I know it doesn't have a lot of preservatives and nitrates in it. I think it's fine!

I would only be concerned if it is pre-cooked (like breakfast sausage) because then it might have nitrates to preserve it. If it is fresh, I would say go for it. I eat it all the time!
