he never got over the fact that she had cheated and I think he was pushing her to get married and she wasnt ready.

she wasn't "ready" - meaning wasn't truly in love with him.
I felt so bad for Aidan  he was such a wonderful guy - always treated her like a queen. I really didn't like her for a while after that. esp when it was the SECOND time she broke his heart 
eta: I knew they would never make it to the altar when she started wearing her e-ring on a chain around her neck.
