San Diego Hotels
I am looking into going to Southern CA this summer with my son and DH.
I am looking for a clean hotel with a pool and fitness center. We do not need a top of the line, expensive hotel as we probably won’t be hanging out there a ton as there is a lot to do and see in San Diego.
So, does anyone have any hotels they have stayed at and would recommend? I am not opposed to hotels that have extras, I just don’t want to spend an extra $200-300 a night on things we won’t use.

We stayed at Hard Rock San Diego which is in downtown area. Next to baseball stadium if you wanted to catch a game.
During same trip we also stayed at Lowes Coronado Bay for beach resort type feel.
