SAHM morning wakeup
For those that SAH, or have someone come to your house where your child sleeps till whatever time they want.
What time does your child go to bed? Does he/she nap? What time does he/she wakeup? How old?
My 2.5 y/o goes to bed at 8:30 when she naps, 7:30 when she doesn't, but still wakes at 6:45 every morning. The other night we went to a party, she didn't go to sleep till midnight, still woke up at 6:45.
Her naps are dwindling down. I am wondering if I stop them completely, put her to bed at 8:30, if her body will adjust and have her wakeup later...
8:30PM to 6:45 AM, with no nap leaves a cranky child, we tried about 3 months ago. If she goes to bed at 7:30 with no nap, she is good, but it eventually catches up after a couple of days. She still needs that nap, but most days it isn't happening.

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
My 4 y/o and 2 y/o go to bed between 7-7:30. They wake up anywhere from 6:00-7:30. Neither of them nap. I wish they still did, and really think they need too, but they both were really fighting me. If we go out, they both usually fall asleep in the car (definitely my 2 y/o).

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
DD is 19 months. Lately she's been falling asleep 7:30-8. She usually naps for 1.5-2 hrs a day from 12:30ish-2-2:30ish. Wake ups have gotten earlier as of late- usually 6:15-6:30. Wake up time is pretty much always the same, no matter if she goes to bed early or late, is up in the middle of the night, or doesn't nap for whatever reason.

SAHM morning wakeup
DD just turned 2. She used to wake around 7 but in the last few weeks that has changed to 6 (not thrilled about that). She naps 2.5-3 hours in the afternoon and is in bed by 8:30.
If I were in your shoes I would definitely try to keep pushing the nap. I know for us with summer coming, that means more late nights when we're out at parties and bbq's. We definitely have more late bedtimes with the nice weather. She also wakes up at her normal time no matter what time she goes to bed.

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
My DD is 5 now but she's had the same schedule since she was itty bitty, only difference now is she doesn't nap.
Up until she was 3.5 she napped every day for three hours. Usually from noon to 3. She was in bed, asleep, by 8 and she usually slept until around 8:30-9.
Now she's still in bed by 8 but on school days I have her up at 7:30 however, on the weekends she will sleep in until anywhere from 8:30 to 10:00. She loves her sleep.

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
I have 19 mo twins. One twin has always been more flexible with her sleep.. if he goes to bed later, she'll "sleep in". But the other is up between 6-645 every morning. no matter how late she goes to bed, how little or much she naps. We started pushing bedtime later since the weather has been nicer but she's still up just as early.

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
I work but have my nanny come to our house. When the boys were that age they were going to bed after 9 and sleeping until 8 or later most mornings. Nap didn't effect them at that point. They were never really early risers. Now that the older 2 are a little older 4 and 5 they go to bed around 830ish and are up around 7:30ish.

Re: SAHM morning wakeup
DD will be 3 in July, hasn't napped about 7 months
Usually she wakes up around 6:40- 7am & is asleep anytime from 7:20- 8:15.
She really does still need a nap because she is usually so lazy & cranky the second half of the day.
If she does happen to fall asleep in the car then she'll go to bed around 9:30.
