SAHM is the first year the hardest

there are times she won't stop crying, there are others days when she won't stop laughing. sometimes it is just so overwhelming, does it get easier???

It absolutely gets easier! You'll have to do a bit more running around and chasing in the second year, but you'll also get more hugs and interaction which makes it less frustrating that the first year.

yes it does....when you know how to read their signals and have somewhat of a routine, it works SO much better.

For us....I don't run around town with her all that much. We go outside, but for the most part, we hang out near home.

The first year was the absolute hardest for me to adjust to motherhood and a stay at home wife. It certainly got easier after age 2 with both my adjustment to a sahm and my marriage. hugs and good luck!

I remember my mom told me it gets less emotionally exhausting - but more physically exhausting, boy was she right! It's more FUN now though - and more interactive and busy!

Im a PT SAHM since I work a few hours each morning....

Ill admit- once he started walking and climbing- I up'd my hours a little bit!Chat Icon

For me the first 6 months were the hardest. After that it has gotten easier (although I wouldn't say it's an easy job by any means).
At 6 months she cried less, napped better and was just more fun in general. Now at almost 18 months she is a lot of fun!
