SAHM
If you were offered your dream job would you consider going back to work (FT or PT)??????
THe reason i ask is because this morning i got a call from my boss offering me everything i have ever wanted and i am scared to death. Wanted to know what you would do?? I love being a SAHM but i also love my job.

Re: SAHM
Yes I would go. I've been a SAHM for 17 months now and I need to go back to work. Not just for the money...for the life that I used to have as well.

Re: SAHM
If it was a dream job I probably would take it to at least try it out. You always have being a SAHM to go back to. Part of my lack of motivation to work FT is that I don't love my job and doing it PT is enough for me. I get the best of both worlds this way and I'm not miserable all the time because I'm at a job I hate every day.

Re: SAHM
It would depend on what I had to do with Ali. All of my family members work - so it would have to be daycare and I am not too sure about that.

Re: SAHM
Honestly, it depends. I loved being home with DD and dreaded the day i had to go back to work.
The first week was really hard, but now I absolutely LOVEEEEEE working and the business interaction. I feel doubly blessed that I have a job i love, make good money, and a baby who i adore and I know is very well taken care during the day.
For me, I thrive more at work, then at when I was home. I love my DD to death, but I was getting depressed being home all day long, and feel like I wasn't contributing, when I know I was doing a really hard job already. But that's just me!

Re: SAHM
I am looking to go back PT at first. I would have a 1 minute commute (not kidding) and the money is too good to refuse. I jsut spole to my DH, MIL and my mom and they have all said they would take care of Kaylee while i was at work. I make my own hours so there is no guessing game and i would be my own boss. I don't know how this all happened but i am so excited yet scared at the same time, it seems too good to be true. Thanks so much for the advice. I will keep you all posted.

Re: SAHM
If they paid me enough to enjoy my money and have enough left over for a live in nanny than yes I would absolutely do it.

Re: SAHM
as much as I love being a sahm, I sometimes crave being at work again, contributing financially and talking to adults. I know that if I got offered a great position I would go for it...

I agree. You have nothing to lose. Also, once children are school age you'd be home all day alone anyway, and this opportunity might not be available any more. You sound very excited, which to me says you really want to take it. Good luck!
