Safe T Swim in bellmore- instructor recommendation
Dd started today. First time with swim lessons. I was not fully impressed with the instructor. Who does everyone recommend there?

We use Guissepe for my 18mon old and Sam for my 7yr old. Very happy with both

Safe T Swim in bellmore- instructor recommendation
My husband takes our DD to a group lesson but when I was researching it on here Tom was mentioned over and over. It is my understanding that he only does weekdays.

My 2 older DD's go there. They had Stephanie and Jenna for the first 6 weeks and now they have Emily and Tara.
I've liked all 4 instructors. DD #1 was with Stephanie to start out and passed level 1 after only 2 lessons. DD #2 was so afraid the first 3 weeks that she barely learned anything, BUT Jenna was so patient and kind with her. DD def. needed someone like Jenna to start.
They've only had 1 lesson so far with Emily and Tara, but so far so good.
Both DD's go at the same time and I've noticed that sometimes they're just hanging out on the steps playing with water toys and talking to their instructors. I think it may be just to give my girls a break, but it gets annoying considering the lesson is only a 1/2 hr. I've seen all instructors doing that though, not just the ones DD's have had.

I don't even know anything about levels. Basically today we went in, waited until someone looked up to acknowledge us, I said this was her very first swimming lesson and the told me go thru the door. I had no clue who anyone was or how it works.
I finally meet her instructor and thought I'd get a little conversation first but I barely did she had the strangest affect to be quiet honest.
It just all seemed strange.

my daughter has been swimming with Amanda for a year now and we really like her. very sweet, good with my daughter. she does spend some time playing but really has learned a lot with her. she is 3 1/2 and can swim without swimmies.
my son swims with guiseppe (just recently switched to him) and very happy with him so far too, I find it a lot more confusing/chaotic there this time of year when there are more kids taking lessons and more instructors who are just home for the summer from college. I like Amanda and guiseppe b/c they are there year round.

Guiseppe was my son's instructor when he was 3 and my son is now turning 6. He has been there a long time and I had a great experience with him as well. I recently signed my 6 yr old up with him for a refresher and was still pleased. My son took to it well and he aggressively pushed him ahead. He went thru the first three levels (not sure if they still do that - I know Guiseppe said things were changing) in just 3 months.
I had my 2 yr old swimming with Amanda and it didn't work out. My daughter wasn't ready for it. She started off great and then a few lessons in would scream bloody murder half way thru the lesson with each lesson it got worse. Amanda definitely wasn't ready to handle that. She was out one day and I tried Guiseppe and my daughter did the same thing for him but he handled the situation better.
