Sachem and Connetquot school district
We are thinking of buying a home in the Sachem/ Connetquot school district in the next month or so. Can someone please tell me about these two school districts? tia

Hasn't Sachem been in the news a lot because the budget didn't pass?
This would affect critical programs, like Pre-K, all day K, increase classroom size, and bring on the loss of many teachers.
I believe they are going for a re-vote. I hope it passes for the sake of the kids, as well as the teachers who have worked so hard to get where they are!!

My son graduated from connetquot in 2005. My son needed special ed services and the district was great for that. I don't live in the district anymore, but if you have specific questions FM me.

K is now 1/2 day. That was pretty much the only change. If the district ever gets more state funding, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes back to full day.

I lived in Connetquot SD (Bohemia) until I got married and I loved everything about the area and the schools. I am sure things have changed in the schools, but I always thought it was very good.
We live in Sachem SD now, out DD is only 1 so, no kids in the school just yet. But the most recent budget failed and they are threatening to take away all day kindergarten. There is a re-vote this month, we will have to see what they end up proposing.
