Does anyone else's spouse do this?
I went back to WW about 2 weeks ago. I planned it out in advance, talked to DH, made sure he was going to commit to being available to watch DD etc.
Week 1, Day 1 weigh in on Saturday & go to meeting. DH goes out after dinner and buys a huge bag of potato chips and makes green onion dip and then sits next to me on the couch munching away and asking if I want any.
Week 1, Day 3, DH buys a bag of tortilla chips and salsa, and again sits next to me on the couch munching away and asking if I want any.
Week 1, Day 5, after dinner at MIL's house, he reaches in the freezer and grabs a Klondike bar, and sits next to me munching away.
Week 2, Day 1, weigh in & meeting day - DH plans all day bike ride, leaves the house at 6:30AM. I am unable to attend weekly meeting.
Week 2, Day 3 (again), buys another bag of tortilla chips and salsa, and sits next to me on the couch munching away and asking if I want any.
I'm dreading tonight's repeat of the Klondike bar.

Re: Sabatoge
That's really annoying.
Just try to keep healthy snacks around so that you can munch on them when he pulls out something like that. Stay strong!!!!!

Re: Sabatoge
yes!!! DH ordered potato skins, mozzarella cheese sticks and chicken wings from a bar (pick up order). It was so hard to sit there and watch him eat it, but it looked really greasy and gross to me. I didn't feel like messing my week up for something like that, however if it was wine thats a different story.

Re: Sabatoge
DH doesn't sabotage per se, but he just has a higher metabolism, and can eat anything he wants. Plus he runs all the time so he can splurge and it not make a difference.
I have just told him that he needs to support me more, stop buying as much junk, or eating it in front of me, stop making rich dinners, etc.
Once I told that to him, and explained how much it meant to me, and WHY I needed him to do that (I think guys just don't get it - they don't understand that our willpower gets tested by things like this) he really changed.
Maybe just have a heart to heart, and maybe you can tell him if he supports you more often in this way, you will have enough points saved up (or whatever WW is doing now), to be able to have a splurge with him once a week. I think guys see it as a bonding as well - to have a splurgy snack with us, or a rich, delicious meal. Good luck!
