S/O Question to Kim/Kanye's House Post
Don't get me wrong - while it's not 100% my style - I think they have a gorgeous house and I would live there in a second....BUT....
How much space do you really need?
I moved from an apartment to a house in 2012 - it's a modest home, some might even consider it small, but it has 3BR and I find weeks go by (sometimes months) in rooms/parts of the house that I just never go to. We have a really cute finished attic that I am sure one day my DD (and perhaps other DC) - may use - but for now, it just sits there with no visitors.
I know first world problems. 
I'm not 100% sure what I'd do with 5 sitting areas.
But that post really got me thinking - what do they do with all that space?

My DH builds houses like that in that hamptons. Most of them are 8000 square feet 7 or 8 bedrooms, 11 or so bathrooms. Most of them are occupied for about 5 weeks per year, often by 2 or three people ( plus the staff). It's crazy. The homes stay climate controlled all year, cable boxes on, huge appliances running. It's bizarre.
I'm glad Kim's house is big. She spent most of her marriage this far on the other side of the planet from her husband and her child. At least she won't have to be so close to them.
We bought our very modest house when our kids were living home but now we are young empty nesters and unless we have house guests we have several rooms that we don't go in for months!

I'd rather have a huuuuge backyard than a big house to clean any day. I need storage storage storage, not a huge bedroom.
