RX Prenatals- cost

I just got a rx for Primacare, but under my insurance it looks like its not covered. Now how much does a 90 day supply of rx prenatals usually go for when it's not covered?

(I have a crappy rx plan anyway, so it's probably better that its not covered)

Re: RX Prenatals- cost

I'd imagine a lot. My insurance covered mine and it was $50 for a one month supply!

Re: RX Prenatals- cost

Now I'm not even sure if my plan covers it or not, the website s*cks ! (i'll call tomorrow), but if it did, a 30 day supply of a preferred brand would be $35... and my rx is for 90 days. Yikes!

Re: RX Prenatals- cost

My insurance does not cover prenatals at all (nice- huh? and the majority of their employees are FEMALE), so I pay out of pocket.

The Primacare is 116.00 for a 90 day supply for me.....

THe ones you get over the counter are just as good and can cost quite a bit less..my first round of Rx ones were $60 for a 3 month supply...I only take them every other day (at the advice of my dr)..I wont be refilling the RX..Im going to go to GNC or the Vitamin Shop and see what they have..(also at the advice of my Dr.)
