Rut-Ro, I FAILED.

I knew it. I failed the one hour glucose test, so now I need to go back for the 3 hour.

Is it torture?

Ladies, who failed the 1st, did you also fail the 2nd?

Last pregnancy i failed both... the only part of the 3 hour I hated was getting my blood taken every hour.

I failed my 1 hour test but passed my 3 hour test.
The hardest part of the 3 hour test was the fasting for me. It's not that I eat all the time, but when I was told that I couldn't eat, it's all I wanted to do! I even dreamed of food that night! LOL
All in all, the three hour test wasn't bad. The drink is sweeter and you have to drink more of it. Good luck and keep us posted!!

With my last pregnancy, I failed the one hour but passed the 3 hour. Just try to get the earliest time to start the 3 hour test. I think I was started at 7AM so I was fine with the fasting. Once I got the first dose of the sugary drink, I didn't feel like I needed anything to eat. Bring some thing to do while you are at the Lab for 3 hours b/c it can be a real drag. I wrote out thank you's and little tasks like that.

oh man, it seems a lot of people fail the 1 hour but pass the 3 hour. Fingers crossed!

I failed the 1 hour (got a 154), but passed the 3 hour. Honestly, the 3 hour test really sucked for me, but that's b/c I don't have good veins. Since I couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight, that made it even harder for them to draw blood. They had to use 2 different people to try to find veins. If I didn't have any vein issues, it would've been fine. Good luck!

I failed the first with DD with a pretty bad number (only a few numbers from when they don't bother to retest) and I thought I failed my 3 hour b.c I felt horrible but they said my 3 hour numbers were really good so they had no idea how I failed my 1 hour. You just don't know - I think a lot of people fail the 1 hr and pass the 3 hour

I didn't fast on the first.

My only advise.. get the earliest appt you can so you're not dying of starvation!! three hours, no food, water, gum, NOTHING its tough after the fasting 12hours. We did it on a weekend.

Frankly that was the worst of it.. the rest was drawing blood and urine sample before you drank then again for both every hour for three hours.. thats it. Four pokes, four pee samples!

My hubby came with me and brought his PSP so we could watch movies! I had a book and my ipod too.

We also specifically planned where lunch was going to be!

Last pregnancy i failed both, I think the one hour i failed by alot. Im taking this pregnancy in 2 weeks... probable fail again.

My sis failed one hour i think 2 out of 3 pregnancies.. but passed the 3 hour on both.

Did you fail by alot? you could still pass the 3 hour even tho you failed one hour, i know my friends also have done that.
