Rubbish / Trash Removal?

Hello,

We just totally demo'ed both our kitchen and bathroom and tossed everything in our garage. We basically need to have someone come pick up and remove all of the trash. Would anyone happen to have recommendations on a company who does this kind of thing and what they might charge?

Any help is appreicated!

Re: Rubbish / Trash Removal?

you can rent a dumpster and toss it all in there, the company will then pick it up. (i would google it depending on where you live).

also if you live in the Town of Hempstead, and there are big items you can put them at the curb and call special pickup.

Town of Hempstead:

"What items require a Special Pick-Up?
Items larger than 2ft. in diameter or exceeding 4ft, in length or weighing more than 75 lbs, require a Special Pick-Up. Also bulky items such as appliances, beds, box springs and mattresses, furniture, tires and auto parts, radiators, desks chairs etc. require a Special Pick –Up

How do I get a Special Pick-Up?
Residents can schedule a Special Pick-Up by calling the District Office at 223-3207 any business day between 7:00a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Special Pick-Ups are scheduled on a first come basis. "

and as i just found out, if you're in the Town of Smithtown they will pick up large items without you having to calll Chat Icon it's so nice!!

Re: Rubbish / Trash Removal?

Call your town to find out what u can put in the street for trash pick up. We are doing a lot of demo too and have bene putting it out by the curb.

Ironically, people have been driving by and picking up a lot of our trash. Someone came by and picked up our old radiators. One of our neighbors put a toilet out at the curb and it was gone in minutes.

If not, u can probably get a small dumpster for around $300.
