rt 110 people
Are a lot of offices closed today?
I need to get all the way down to the Northern State Pkway (from Conklin St) at 5pm....normally a HUGE nightmare....BUT I'm hoping a lot of places are either closed or letting out early today so the traffic won't be too bad.

Where about on NSP?
Suggestion, take back way of Bethpage Park to 135 to NSP.
Guarantee that will be a quick route.

I just went into a deli that is usually SWAMPED all day long, and I was the ONLY person in there. So yes, I'm guessing a lot of places are closed...
(and I'm on 110...)

went out for lunch and it was packed as usual..
like a PP said.. take the backway to 135! it is ALOT easier!!

i think taking the 135 is so out of the way - from rt 24 (conklin) to the norther state won't be that bad today - i would probably just take 110 all the way up.

I work for a big company on 110 and some people are leaving early but nothing company wide. I'm actually surprised by the amount of people here right now.

i just checked - from the corner of conklin and 110 to the northern state is only 5 miles. to backtrack all the way to the 135 is almost 3.5 miles. if you are headed west, fine, but if you are headed east, not worth it, IMO.
