RP from Parenting- Shared Nursery
ok so right now DS is in our room w/us- the walls are a light tanish/brown w/ dark brown curtains and light tanish rug and the furnitue is mix n match since most of it was given/handed down to us. Now when DC#2 arrives I would like to put them in the same room regardless of gender- So our room would become theirs- I was thinking of painting the room a light blue color and have the dark brown curtains and borders.
Q: Do you think I can paint the furniture dark brown so that everything will finally match? We really can't afford to get new stuff and don't want to spend a lot either KWIM?

Are they wood? Shouldn't be a problem. Obviously not the crib.

Re: RP from Parenting- Shared Nursery
I do a lot of antique furniture reviving and refinishing as well as do some non antique pieces that are well, ugly, and just need some paint and new hardware. If it's real wood, I would sand them all down, wipe them all down with ammonia/water mix on a rag to get all hidden nasty off that might ruin your paint job, then either stain all the same color or paint them all the same color. If you need any advice at all, please feel free to FM me as I do this all the time lol.
