Royal Wedding

I watched it.

I thought the dress was ok.

All I kept thinking was that Kate was probably thinking let’s speed this thing up, I have to pump or I’m going to leak all over this dress!!!

I was thinking the same thing! It did seem like it dragged on a bit. But I enjoyed being able to see it, and my dd was excited about it too, so that was fun.

Royal Wedding

I started watching at 7:30 when I got up.
Her dress was lovely, such simple elegance. Loved the neckline.
I felt Kate could have worn a different color, it was such a pale yellow that it appeared white.
The Queen looked fabulous.

Those horses were the best part! They were all out of whack! The ones looked like they were talking to each other during the entire processional through the town, then the one that went awry, and the one that knocked his rider off. I was dying! #drunkhorse Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was just watching 20/20 and they were saying that Kate was sending the world a wonderful message because she has actually worn that outfit on 2 other occasions, one looked like one of her kid's baptisms. I, on the other hand, was like what the hell? Even I, a mere peasant, would buy a new dress for my brother in laws wedding!

And how is she a size 0 again already?

I loved it. I love the royals. I love the tradition and pageantry. It's just fascinating. I thought the ceremony was beautiful.

I did think it was weird that her mom sat behind her friends. I also thought it was telling that none of the royals watched them exchange vows. I think Kate and Camilla were actually reading the program. LOL

Did not get up early. Was over my cousins house she had recorded it. She put it on and fast forward we just saw highlights.

I was not a fan of the dress I thought it was so plain and boring . Kate’s dress was a 1000 times better.

If you noticed the Queen sat in the second row as well. It was explained on one channel that that is actually a better seat and view (though no one actually sits in the seat in front the queen).

Those wooden seats are so uncomfortable. Sitting in the front row would be brutal. That’s probably why they are in the second row.

I watched. I thought the dress was blah - so plain. Could have used a little something.

Ceremony was really nice though

The empty seat in the front row was "reserved" for Diana.
I thought that was a nice touch. I did the same at my wedding, for my mom, not for Diana.

No, actually it was not, they confirmed that. It was empty because no one sits in front of the Queen.

I watched. And loved it all.
I thought her dress was lovely. Simple. Classic and Elegant. I loved that she wore very little make up. Very little jewelry. And she still looked stunning. She had such a look of happiness in every shot of her , it was so sweet. And Harry was so handsome!

And we can't forget Bishop Michael Curry!

The late Dr Martin Luther King Jr once said, and I quote: "We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world, for love is the only way."

There's power in love. Don't underestimate it. Don't even over-sentimentalize it. There's power, power in love.

If you don't believe me, think about a time when you first fell in love. The whole world seemed to center around you and your beloved.

As I said on the other thread, I'm not a fan of her but they both looked so genuinely happy the other day.
