"Royal Pains" seeks locals for film scene
Basically, they are filming in Bay Shore the week of 8/15 and need various types of extras. The link is for the Newsday article but you can only see it if you have a subscription. You have to send an email to [email protected] with recent photos of you in the role for which you are applying (they need wealthy socialite types, professional DJ for a party scene, actual golfers and tennis players, "young and attractive" bar patrons, real-housewife types, models and model-types, yachtsmen, financial brokers, surfers and beachgoers). And they also need luxury cars. You also need to include height/weight, contact info and any acting-related union membership info in your email. Subject line should be "Bayshore LOCAL". Sounds like fun but I can't do it. Hope this is helpful to someone.

real-housewife types
Wonder if they mean Bravo type real housewives or actual real housewives.

I told DH about it and he said he wont do it. They make you bring too much clothing and you dont make enough on that show.

I was an extra on the MTV Beach House years ago when it was out by me...it was a fun experience & my friend and I were asked to come back. No pay but met a lot of cool people and had my 15 minutes of fame

Royal Pains used my father in law's boss' house in one of their first episodes. It was the party location for the "bark"mitzvah From what I heard, they paid him pretty well

I love this show! They do a lot of their filming near my house. We see the signs all over, and we've had a few sightings of the cast members!

Oooh, so maybe that's what the 'RP' signs are for on the roadway? I always wonder what that stands for...
I usually see them around the Port Washington area.
