Routines & Breastfeeding
Can you have a feeding routine if you breastfeed and if so when does that usually happen. Right now I feed him on demand which I dont mind but I was wondering if he will fall into a routine or will that be his routine.

My son fell into a routine after a couple of months. Before that it was feeding on demand and then he just set his own schedule. I don't quite remember how it happened, but one day I realized he was pretty much eating at the same time every day.

I truly believe that BF or Bottle feeding a routine does not happen right away.
Personally I was pumping and bottle feeding BM. I got into a routine early on, but Molly needed a few months before she had a more preditable schedule.

Thanks, I knew it wouldnt be for a while but I was just curious if I would be feeding on demand until I stopped breastfeeding.

Like everything, it depends. Everyone's experience is different. A pattern will emerge, but baby may still demand at random times. (Like my 13 month old whose favorite sign is milk, milk, milk!)
