Re: Rothmans
Out of the ones that you mentioned, I have only been to Blackstone and didn't like it at all.
Way too many middle aged women sitting at the bar trying to be picked up. I found the food to be okay but not great and expensive.
Our all time favorite is Burton and Doyle in Great Neck. We used to live over there and go on a pretty regular basis. I would say price is comprable to Blackstone or Peter Luger (Porterhouse for 2 is around $70) but the atmosphere is great and the service is fantastic.
If it isn't too far for you, check it out

Re: Rothmans
thanks! That is too funny that you said that about the women at the place. I was there for a presentation dinner with my mother and her nurse friends and all we could do is stare at the women who were trying to find the richest/hottest man in the shortest skirt in the shortest amount of time.

Re: Rothmans
I live around the corner from Rothmann's. We go there a lot! For DH and I, dinner can run close to $150-200, but that's with drinks and desserts.
Just don't go on a Thursday night! It's a meat/meet market! All the 40+ year old singles out to hook up! Limos and all!
