Rosedale?

Does anyone know anything about Rosedale Queens? How is the area? The schools? Thanks!

My father grew up in Rosedale until he was about 13 yrs old. My family left there b/c the neighborhood was going downhill (that's what my grandma says).

I havn't been there personally, but my father passed through not too long ago, and said it was pretty crappy. I do not think that the school district is a good one either.

I could be wrong, this is just what I heard.

ETA: I was trying to find some info on the school districts and all I could find was this link and this link .
There's not really alot of info on there, but those are 2 schools in the district.

My FIL lived in Cedarhurst and we had to drive through a part of Rosedale to get there.

I hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings, and my opinion is just based on a very small part of Rosedale, but the neighborhood has deteriorated over the last 10 years and I would stay away.

I lived in Valley Stream growing up which is the next town over from Rosedale. Over the years, the town has deteriorated. I really don't know how their schools are, but I would definitely go take a ride there and check out the neighborhood yourself before you make any decisions. HTH
