Rooms when selling home?
We are thinking of putting our house for sale in the spring or summer. We have 3 bedrooms. A master and then one for my oldest child and nursery for youngest. We only ave a livingroom..no family room. Thinking of putting both kids in the same room and setiing up nursery as a playroom. Would this deter buyers since it wouldnt look like a bedroom? It would help clear the toys out of the livingroom and the kids would love to be together. Thoughts?

Re: Rooms when selling home?
We just bought a house a few months ago after a long time of looking at houses. We had looked at over 60 houses before we finally found our home. In my opinion, I would keep it as a bedroom, unless the room is really large. Some people may be automatically turned off if there are only 2 "bedrooms" even though it is actually 3. Many people have an idea in thier head as to what they want (# of bedrooms is obviously one of them). It they don't see that straight out, it may deter them from being interested. Good luck!!!

Re: Rooms when selling home?
I agree with the previous poster keep it as a bedroom. I just bought a house as well and I think the most important thing is do away with clutter. I was packed and putting things away as soon as we put the house up for sale. I did alot of purging since I moved from the house I had lived in for 32 years. Best of luck!
