Rolling over in his sleep? WWYD?

DS is 4 months and started rolling back to belly. In the middle of the night I happened to get up and saw that he had rolled over and was now sleeping on his belly. I was a little nervous but left him. He ended up waking up anyway b/c he hasnt completely figured out how to roll back. If it happens again, do I just leave him?

I would leave him. Once they start rolling over on their own there's nothing you can do. Mason started rollong over around that time too, but not every time in his sleep. By 5 or 6 months he rolled over and slept on his belly and actually slept better. As long as he can pick up his head then he should be ok.

Once they can roll over my ped said it is fine to let them sleep on their belly

DS usually back sleeps but when he gets restless he rolls over and it helps him fall back to sleep.

just leave him he is fine and if he is strong enough to roll over then he is strong enough to move his head to the side if he needs to!

Just leave him, once they begin rolling you can't really stop it. just make sure there's nothing he can get caught on or caught up in.

I had the same concern. I asked my DD's ped. He said it was fine!! Once they can roll over there is nothing you can do about it and they are strong enough to be fine.

ITA! And once DD started sleeping on her belly she would go 12 hours straight without getting up to nurse! I think many babies are more cozy on their bellies.
