Road trips?
I would assume an 8 hour drive is less of a risk than flying at 33 weeks...right?
DH has a job interview in Cleveland so we were gonna make a weekend of it. If he gets it, we can look at apartments one day while we are there and stay at my BIL's house and spend some time.
I will call the doctor and double check, only because I have been in some discomfort...this little guy is quite the kicker. No bleeding, no contractions, no signs of preeclampsia or anything, he just thinks my belly is his own professional soccer field.

Both are doable, but I think I'd prefer to fly at 33 weeks. Ask your dr. Mine had no prob with me flying to Florida around that same time with my last pregnancy.

Definitely ask your doctor. I had a wedding in Maine, about 6 hours away, when I was 35 weeks. Doctor told me NOT to go, but I did anyway. I was fine in a car for 6 hours there and back and I also have had an uncomplicated pregnancy. See how you feel right before you go, but you most likely will be fine!

Either way, if you fly or drive (both should be OK with your doctor to be honest if you have had no complications) then make sure you get up to walk around a LOT. I think one issue could be with swelling if you are sitting in one spot for too long.
I think I read that 15 minutes out of every hour should be spent up and walking. On a plane that might mean a quick stretch every once in a while if you can't walk around, and for a road trip several stops to get out of the car and walk for a minute or two!

I agree that either way should be fine. I live in Youngstown, about an hour outside of Cleveland and we just drove back from Long Island yesterday for my baby shower. I am 32 weeks. I was a little uncomfortable, only because I couldnt recline my seat because our car was packed with gifts. If I was you I would maybe fly, especially since there is an airport right in Cleveland so it would be convenient. Just to add...I love Cleveland!

my dr said no flying after 32 weeks, but its so close and 8 jours in the car each way might be tough. I've taken 2 road trips since getting PG. one just this past weekend. I'm carrying small and its still not that comfy to sit in the car for so long
