Reviews of appliances

When i was hunting for appliances i was looking for real people reviews so i thought i would start a thread for those of you looking to purchase appliances.

Ge Profile Above Range Microwave: looks great, cooks evenly but loud vent fan.

Ge Profile Double Oven Smooth Cooktop: looks great, cooks great in the oven. have to kneel to get food out of the lower oven since its low to the ground. hard to keep cooktop clean. i'm not a fan of electric cooking so i keep burning stuff on the smooth cooktop but that's probably user error. just wanted to add that i absolutely love the double oven feature. its awesome!!

Ge Profile French Doors Bottom Freezer: love it, looks great. only downside is the ice maker can overflow if you forget to shut it off.

Bosch Dishwasher: not sure which model i got but i'm not happy with it. it has a funky smell to it when its finished cleaning. not sure if that's just because its new. and it has an on off button so it doesn't shut itself off. so if you delay start to clean overnight, it stays on all night. not sure how that's energy saving but hey looks like all of them have that feature. weird.

thanks all and good luck shopping!!

Re: Reviews of appliances

i have had kenmore products for 5 years, with little to no issues. I have warranties for all my appliances. Sears is AWESOME with their maintenance programs and scheduling repairs.
Dishwasher - could dry a little better, but from those i talk to, it's a common problem.
Kenmore stove / oven- no issue except the glass broke once, they came and fixed it quick.
fridge (bottom freezer) - love it!! keeps food for longer than expiration dates. super efficient.
Washer - had an agitation issue, but they came and fixed it. then they didn't put clips in the new unit, so i had a little leak. they came and fixed that, no problem.
Dryer- perfect, never an issue
Vaccuum- had a sucking problem, brought it in, fixed in 48 hours.

Appliances may become a little faulty, but the company that you buy them from must stand behind their product. i firmly believe that sears does.
