retinyl palmitate in low fat millk- Holy crap!
Just found out that the low fat milk I've been drinking has this as one of its ingredients. I know that we are suppose to avoid skin care products with this, but I never suspected that it would be in low fat milk. Yikes! Was anyone else aware of this?

Probably no need for concern since there's only a small amount of preformed vitamin a ( retinyl palmitate) in the milk. Too much vitamin a in this form is known to cause birth defects. Its better to get your vitamin a in the form of beta carotene. I was so careful about the skin care products I use only to find out I was drinking this vitamin a which is actually worse than if I had used it topically.

yes, its actually in a lot of things. pre-formed vit a is in cereal, cottage cheeses, yogurts, low fat milk etc. It's prob. ok but, too much is no good so when i was pg i read labels and tried to avoid it as much as i could. hth!
