Restless Leg Syndrome

I seem to have developed pregnancy induced restless leg syndrome! It is ridiculously annoying! Just when I think I can relax, my legs tell me they want to go dancing. Anyone else experience this? Anything you found that helped?

Ugh - I had that with both of my pregnancies. It was worst in the evening - The only thing that helped was lying in bed. Sitting, even with my feet up, made it worse.

I know it sucks - but you just have to ride it out. Good luck!

I haven't experienced this myself but my best friend had it when she was pregnant and I'm sorry to say but she still has it 3 yrs later. You should speak to a doctor now and see if there is anything you can do. Hope it goes away soon!!

Re: Restless Leg Syndrome

I suffer from RLS even when I'm not pregnant but it's worse when I am. One thing that has been helping me is having DH rub right at the base of my spine... almost my tailbone area. I usually sit on the couch or lie down on my side and he rubs in a circular motion with a fair amount of pressure. I feel your pain though!Chat Icon

This was the worst part of my pregnancy. I do not have any advice, but it did go away after I had DD.
Good luck!

Stretch stretch stretch.

I too have RSL unrelated to being pregnant.

Benadryl helped me on the nights that it was bad. Try and read before bed, anything to get ur mind off if it.

I have it too during pregnancy and agree that it is a NIGHTMARE!! Thank you girls for your tips on what to do. I usually just take a Benadryl before bed on nights that it is really bad.
