REPOST FROM TTC--PLEASE HELP
Hello Ladies...
I recently have had all pregnant-like symptoms (dizziness, nausea, change in taste buds, TOTAL FATIGUE, and of course missed period), but the pregnancy test showed up negative (urine and blood). My doctor said because I was on the depoprovera shot I could have negative results and still be pregnant for a while.
Have any of you had negative results and still be pregnant? Have any of you gotten pregnant after the depo shot? If so, how did you find out you actually were pregnant??

How late are you?
I would think that a blood test would be able to tell if you were pregnant or not. But, if your doctor seems to think it can be a false negative, go back in a week and have your blood drawn again.
I hope it works out the way you want it to.

Thank you...it seems that it is not uncommon for women who were on depo for a long time to have false negatives...I am just so anxious to know! I am 2 weeks late now.

Ask them to do a transvaginal sonogram...if there's a baby in there....they should be able to see the egg sack by now.

Re: REPOST FROM TTC--PLEASE HELP
It is also not uncommon for women to have very irregular cycles after depo - have you been regular up until now?
I was on depo for 2 years and stopped 2 years ago. My cycles were off for 10 months (actually didn't have any for 7 of those, then they were short). But after all settled out, my cycles went back to clockwork.
I did get PG, but 2 years after depo (we weren't trying until recently). I was never warned of a false negative...
