REPOST: Anyone take Dexamthasone?

I was on it for 10 weeks for NK cells. I stopped taking it Thursday. One side effect that I had was contant hunger. I would and still do have to eat every 2 hours throughout the day/night. I do not sleep for more than 2 hours at a time and I have no desire for anything in the food department. I am at the end of my rope. I called a pharmacist and she said it should take about a week for it to get out of my system but it's almost a week and the hunger is still going strong. It's 1:45 and I just had 1/2 bagel with melted cheese and just want to sleep but I will be up in 2 hours to feed the beast again, LMAO. Anyone lese have this? Maybe it's not the Dex?

Thanks for listening to my mini vent

I've only been on it for a few days at most so, I'm sorry I've never experienced those side effects.Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have been on it now for 16 weeks. I don't know if it causes that because my IVF was successful. I gained 7 lbs at 11 weeks so maybe partly the meds I guess.

It's def a side effect (increased appetite), but this is insane. I literally was up all night hungry. I don't eat alot at one sitting so maybe that is not helping. But even if I do eat a normal meal in 2 hours, like clockwork, I am starving again. I am soooo frustrated Chat Icon
