I am now one week late and there is just no sign of Chat Icon coming anytime soon! i've been dilated for the past 2 weeks, been having contractions but he is not budging!!

had a sono yesterday and will see my doctor tomorrow a.m. the nurse said if i didn't have Chat Icon by tomorrow's visit they would pick a date to induce me.

for those who have been induced .. how is it? everyone keeps telling me i don't want this but at this point i don't know what else to do!!

what are some other things i can do to get labor moving along quickly and naturally??

TIA!! Chat Icon

Re: repost

I have never had to be induced so I can't help you there.

As far as moving things along you can:
go for a long walk
walk up and down the stairs (carefully)
eat Mexican (I dunno if this is true, but before both of my
Chat Icon Chat Icon were born, I ate Mexican and that night...hello labor!)
and the old fave-
have sex!

BEst of luck to you and manyChat Icon Chat Icon for a quick and easy delivery!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was induced and it wasn't bad at all..I just had cervidal inserted to move things along...then my water broke and I was able to deliver her..no c section which is what I wanted.

Re: repost

I was due to be induced on the Day I gave birth.

The day before I went into labor on my own. After I got the epi at 8am my contractions slowed and were erratic, the dr broke my water and then I was then started on pitocin.

The only change would have been ripening my cervix, but since i went into labor on my own, that first hurdle was done on my own.

My dr was pleasantly surprised I went into active labor after i left my dr's appt the day before my induction. I was only a fingertip dilated and 50% effaced when I went into labor.

here's the link about induction I posted before i gave birth. I hope it helps!

I walked alot the days before I went into labor, i didn't stay on my coolie at all, I did laundry, went up and down stairs, went shopping, and the walking, walking walking...
