Reporting a abandoned vehicle? nevermind!!

Does anyone know how to report an abandoned vehicle, or a vehicle with no plates on it?

What authority do we call or make a report with? I can't find anything on google.

Q225. How do I report an abandoned vehicle?
Answer:

Please call Vehicle Control at 631-473-3380 to report an abandoned vehicle in the street without plates or with improper plates affixed. Provide the street address, nearest cross street, hamlet, and a brief description of vehicle is required. The vehicle will be scheduled for pick up.

Note: If you are a resident within the incorporated Village of Patchogue, please contact Village Hall at 631-475-4300 to report an abandoned vehicle. If you are resident within the incorporated Village of Port Jefferson, please contact Village Hall at 631-473-4733 to report an abandoned vehicle. (FAQ0016-060607)

there is an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot of my complex. its so annoying. i think i should look into reporting it but its town of islip.
